Flemming Fang, vice president of Mt. Stonegate, was invited to present at the lesson "Renewable Energy Certificate: Theory and Practice" in the department of Civil & Environmental Engineering of the National University of Kaohsiung on June 3, 2019.
Dr. Lien, Hsing-lung, vice-chancellor of NUK and professor of the department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, guided the lesson "Renewable Energy Certificate: Theory and Practice". The main class object introduces the significance of renewable energy certificates representation and practical operation. This course provides an in-depth introduction to the academic and practical applications of renewable energy certificates at home and abroad and combines the practical curriculum outside the school to train domestic professionals in this new field.
Usually refers to Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), it most of consideration are tradable, non-tangible energy commodities and represent in MWh of electricity was generated from an eligible renewable energy device (renewable electricity) and was fed into the shared system of power lines which transport energy.
EACs provide a mechanism for the purchase of renewable energy that is added to and pulled from the electrical grid. The updated Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 2 Guidance guarantees of origin, RECs and I-RECs as mainstream instruments for documenting and tracking electricity consumed from renewable sources.
