The Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit (AIGIS), organized by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, was held on August 20–22 at the Jakarta Convention Center. The annual event serves as a national platform to promote industrial transformation toward greener and more sustainable practices. Carrying the theme “Driving Industrial Decarbonization through Green Industry Ecosystem”, AIGIS 2025 brought together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, and sustainability experts to accelerate Indonesia’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
The urgency of AIGIS lies in preparing the national industrial sector to remain competitive amid tightening global regulations. Export-destination countries are increasingly enforcing mandatory sustainability measures such as carbon taxes, eco-label requirements, and the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which directly affect Indonesian products in international markets. As Indonesia has already launched its Emissions Trading System (ETS) in the power sector, the industrial sector is expected to be included in the next phase of implementation between 2025-2027, making it a key area of focus for this transition, with key sectors come from packaging, plastics, paper, textiles, metals, electronics, glass and ceramics, automotive, tires and rubber, and furniture. As part of this effort, the Green Industry Standard and Certification Office (GISCO) was initiated to provide a clear benchmark for sustainable industrial practices, enabling companies to align with internationally recognized standards while improving competitiveness. At AIGIS, many of these sectors were represented by leading players who showcased their latest green industry innovations in line with GISCO, highlighting practical steps already being taken to accelerate the transition.
For over three days, AIGIS featured a dynamic program that combined exhibitions, business matching sessions, green talks, green fashion show, and the annual green awarding. More than fifteen organizations showcased innovative solutions in the exhibition hall, where Mt. Stonegate participated as an exhibitor, highlighting its core services in renewable energy, carbon asset management, and strategic sustainability advisory. The booth provided a platform to engage directly with stakeholders, introduce each company’s expertise, and discuss practical pathways for businesses to enhance their sustainability performance.

The Green Talks sessions were also become the highlight of the event, presenting diverse perspectives on the future of green industry in Indonesia. Key discussions centered on the alignment of national policies with carbon economy frameworks, the role of financial incentives in driving investment, the importance of industrial roadmaps for emission reduction, and the adoption of circular economy practices. Speakers underscored the importance of collaboration and innovation in ensuring that decarbonization efforts translate into measurable impact while maintaining industrial competitiveness
Looking ahead, Mt.Stonegate will build on the insights and connections gained at AIGIS 2025 to deepen its engagement with stakeholders and expand its role in Indonesia’s green transition. We are also grateful for the opportunity to engage with industry leaders at the event and enjoyed productive discussions throughout AIGIS 2025. We welcome further conversations and collaborations with stakeholders who share the same commitment to sustainability. Let’s continue working together on our journey toward a greener, more sustainable future as we push toward a net-zero world!
