The Climate Group Asia Action Summit (CGAAS) was taking place on 21st May in Singapore. This year of CGAAS covers a wide range of emerging topics in different markets, including:

Mt. Stonegate has also joined the event among all attending industrial experts and corporate representatives for fruitful conversations with respective to how to achieve continuous renewable energy transition in Asia in faced with emerging new challenges in recent years.
RE100 Workshop – Navigating an evolving technical landscape
The RE100 workshop invite key RE100 member companies and stakeholders. In 2025, RE100 has achieved significant progress in multiple countries in Asia such as Korea, Indonesia and China. Not only does it continue to foster renewable installation deployment in markets of limited supply, but it has also promoted policies and renewable-related rules which facilitate corporate procurement.

Managing Director, Jules Chuang has delivered a keynote speech at the workshop, focusing on the recent GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance update and its impact on the Asian market. Many attending guests raised their opinions and concerns on the pending update and granularity requirement. Nonetheless, there has been consensus that a cross-border REC systems is essential to enabling credible claim in Asia. During the discussion session, Technical Manager, Tiantai Ling has briefed on the Chinese market status and next stage focus on directly-connected electricity trading and local green electricity offtakes. Corporates are also sharing their opinions on how their procurement strategies are changing depending on policies update.
“RE100 China Guidebook” release
During the session, the Climate Group has also released an RE100 China Guidebook that explains the procurement methodologies and strategies in China aligned with RE100 Technical Criteria. As Chinese companies accelerate their renewable energy transition, many need a systematic introduction to the local market policies and instruments. Our Managing Director, Jules Chuang has contributed to the Guidebook as special advisor, leading our team in contributing practical insights and industry perspectives alongside other stakeholders to support companies navigating the renewable energy transition in China.
