On Tuesday 5th September, 2017 National University of Kaohsiung organized the “International Conference of the Establishment of Renewable Energy Market”.
The conference kicked off with the speaking of Ling Huei CHEN, the Deputy Director of Bureau of Energy, MOEA; and also featured some of the top thought leaders as speakers, including Dr. Hsing Lung Lien from NUK, Chih Wen Hung from BSMI, Jared Braslawsky from I-REC Standard Foundation, Tony Mo from BCSD, Koichiro Tanabe from JQA, Dr. Kimmie Wang from CIER and Jules Chuang from Mt. Stonegate Green Asset Management.
The conference attracted attendees from EPA, CPC, Taipower, research institutions, NGO and leading companies from IT, financial and as well as power generation industries. The conference provided a valuable forum and platform for policy practitioners, potential market players and experts to discuss crucial issues and to share experiences and ideas on how to tackle challenges to achieve the goal to establish a renewable energy market for physical renewable energy and associated renewable energy certifications (RECs). The discussion showed a great expectation of the attendees to establish a renewable energy market in order to accelerate the development of renewable energy in Taiwan.
