It has been a year since the last workshop was hosted by Mt.Stonegate. This time, Mt.Stonegate had the opportunity to host another workshop titled “Corporate Carbon Reduction Strategies” on August 18th 2020, in Taichung City. A total of 6 speakers provided the audience on the latest industry knowledge and information, our Founder and Director, Jules Chuang also brought his insights to renewable energy procurement in medium to long term.
During the first half of the event, the interns spent time analyzing solutions for corporates in gaining and maintaining their score in CDP. Speaking of the Japanese market, one of the presentation provided examples from Japanese company with mature emission reductions strategies. Lastly, the differences between B2B and B2C also have been presented to introduce the better understanding of how difference stakeholders perceive corporates sustainability.
Topics varied between each presenter, but the highlight of the workshop was “Taiwan On-shore Wind Development” presented by the Director of Arbon Capital, Jerry Lee. The enthusiast was shown by many questions raised by the audience representatives of enterprises such as Decathlon, ACER, TSMC, DSM, etc. In the future, Mt. Stonegate will set up larger workshops for any entities interested in attending.
